On April 22, 2019, Victoria Hernández, Minister of Economy, Industry and Commerce of Costa Rica, Patricia Rodríguez Hölkemeyer, Ambassador of Costa Rica to China, together with their delegation, paid a visit to Global Tone Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (GTCOM). They had an in-depth discussion with Eric Yu, the CEO of GTCOM, on how AI and big data help government management and decision-making, as well as national construction and economic development.

Mr. Yu offered a warm welcome to the guests and introduced in detail the company's development history, machine translation, cross-language big-data processing application capability and the AI big-data business layout. Additionally, he showcased the company's innovation and exploration achievements in government administration, financial regulation, technological innovation, smart tourism and other fields through a presentation of GTCOM's AI big-data and machine translation products such as JoveEye Technology Big Data, JoveBird Financial Big Data, DataMap Data Visualized Analysis Platform and the LanguageBox Intelligent Conference Solution.

At the meeting, Minister Victoria Hernández learned how to use LanguageBox and recognized its machine simultaneous interpreting capability. She praised GTCOM's achievements in regard to big data and AI. She also expressed confidence that GTCOM will provide the government of Costa Rica with big-data analysis and decision-making solutions in the fields of government administration, economy, industry and tourism so as to help the government analyze national and economic development and the public's views on policies with effective data governance means, and make more scientific decisions in the fields of national governance, investment attraction, economic development and employment-policy formulation.
The two sides conducted in-depth analysis and discussion on specific issues and directions such as the establishment of a special group to efficiently investigate cooperation proposals and determine the best means to establish an open information platform through AI and big-data technology to assist government governance and decision-making, as well as development of enterprises and research institutions.
