The Chinese-Portuguese-English Machine Translation Laboratory is a major program jointly built by GTCOM, Macao Polytechnic Institute and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. It is aimed at serving the Belt and Road Initiative and supporting Macao in building the "Sino-Portuguese Trade Service Platform." The three parties will carry out in-depth strategic cooperation in areas such as cross-language big data think tank, machine translation, machine-aided translation, speech recognition and semantic search. Moreover, by virtue of Macao's position as a converging point for Chinese and Western cultures and a platform for exchanges with EU/Portuguese-speaking countries, they will standardize the quality of Chinese-Portuguese translation, improve the speed of Chinese-Portuguese translation, and build a benchmark program for cooperation in industries, universities and research institutes between China and Portugal.
Yu Yang, CEO of GTCOM,
